Danny Fox didn’t draw a human figure until he drew a depiction of his first girlfriend as a teen. Over a decade later, the now 28 year old painter has spent years perfecting female figures, placing women from his life and family onto the canvas. As Fox’s career has progressed he has expanded to include portrayals of many of the things that excite him in life: boxers, guns, cowboys, exotic animals and characters he has created inspired by encounters on his travels. Although Danny has no formal training, he has said he is opposed to the descriptor ‘self-taught’ and prefers people to see his art as an example of just ‘going for it.’ Fox works out of his studio in Cornwall, England.
