Today we were lucky enough to attend the opening of Thea Govorchin’s newest show “Adult Contemporary.”
Using marble columns, hanging grapes, and portraits of naked ladies, Govorchin has constructed “DIY antiquity for the people” – to use her own words. The exhibition achieves a guise of wealth and taste, yet parodies the “adult contemporary” as the entirety of materials used were either found or faked. Equipped with conceptual refreshments (cheetos, grapes, and s’mores), this is a show you will not want to miss!
