Writer and artist Jo Rosenthal recently sent some of her zines over from New York, and we had a lot of fun looking through them at “the office.” Jo is one of those seemingly rare artists who is making really sincere, from-the-heart work. Her library of self-published zines is lively and diverse, from her black-and-white xeroxed “Awful Taxidermy,” full of hilariously terrible stuffed animals, to “Ode to Those I’ve Kissed,” an intimate autobiographical zine documenting everyone she’s ever kissed in watercolour portraits. Today we’re looking at the Rosenthal Booklet, or “Everything in My Wallet, in Case I Ever Lose It,” which feels like the quintessential Jo piece of work – funny, personal, and earnest. Take a look below!
