A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of exploring Grace Miceli’s bedroom studio in New York City. Grace is a frequent contributor to Editorial Magazine, but is better known for her online gallery, Art Baby Girl, as well as her DIY fashion label. I met Grace over Instagram and fell in love with her color felt pen drawings of prosaic and pop culture objects and iconography. I fell even more in love when I learned Grace had gone to art school and had subsequently consciously unlearned some of what she was taught, choosing instead to roll with her own intuition and taste. As a painter, illustrator, curator, and clothing designer, Grace is always busy creating—and not always just for herself. Follow her on social media and you’ll see she is constantly promoting and appreciating the work of other artists too. <3
