At the Ukrainian National Home, in a ballroom-type space above the Ukrainian restaurant, right next to Veselka, Vaquera held their Fall/Winter 2018 show. Enormous chandeliers hung in the middle of the room and the models walked underneath on a floor strewn with confetti. The soundtrack was frantic. The models rushed down the runway, some of them almost stomping. The collection mixed a Vegas gambler with a lot of Christian imagery, there were nun uniforms but also blunted devil horns.
