We’re excited to premiere Picket Fence, the latest song and video from Cowgirl Clue. The Texas-born musician and visual artist featured in our current print issue, is known for her genre-defying country punk pop and Simple-Life aesthetic. Clue wrote and recorded Picket Fence at her home earlier this year, telling us the song “Cherishes the idea of letting go of something and embracing spiritual connectivity.” Picket Fence is a lush contrast to her last release, Trailblaze ☆, emulating a new, bolder side of her sound. Co-directed with Clue’s longtime collaborator, director-photographer Jaxon Whittington, the video follows Clue dancing, book-burning, and swinging on a tire in an undisclosed rural location.
